Solea Pfeiffer and John Cardoza will be the next Satine and Christian to lead Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical. The pair join the company at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on October 15 alongside Pepe Muñoz, who also joins the principal cast as Santiago in his Broadway debut.

Since reopening in September 2021, the musical has expanded across the globe at a prodigious clip, winning the Tony Award for best musical in 2021 and rolling out nine international productions, with five (including Broadway and the West End) currently playing, a Netherlands staging bowing in September and a world tour launching in Edinburgh in April. At this point Moulin Rouge! has sold 8 million tickets worldwide across some 5,500 performances.

It was announced today that Aaron Tveit will reprise his Tony Award-winning performance in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, starring alongside platinum-selling singer, songwriter & actress Joanna “JoJo” Levesque as Christian and Satine, respectively, for a 12-week limited engagement Tuesday, July 23 through Sunday, October 13 at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Courtney Reed and Derek Klena will play their final performance on Sunday, July 21.

The Museum of Broadway has announced its next special exhibit. “Moulin Rouge! The Musical Spectacular, Spectacular” will open on May 17 and run through Sept. 8. Designed specifically for the museum, the exhibit is being presented in partnership with Chase Freedom.
